The Treehouse Cabin

We have recently been "Featured on Frommers" as one of the top destinations in the country ,and under the Gatlinburg,TN slide,we have been selected as a a "Unique, secluded cabin experience"
The Treehouse cabin in Gatlinburg ,TN is a 1 bedroom/ 1 bath wonderfully cozy log sided cabin for up to 2 people. There is no pullout sofa,so we are limited to 2 people staying in this cabin. The Treehouse cabin is the best choice for your perfect honeymoon cabin. This cabin is located in a private forested paradise in a beautiful wooded setting near the top of our 30 acre property. Although it is located about 200 feet from the main house, the cabin maintains its complete privacy because of the many trees and bamboo plantings that surround it.

We built the cabin post and beam style, all dug by hand, which meant that we were able leave almost all the trees intact around the cabin. The remaining trees that were too close to the cabin, were simply built in to the surrounding decks and give a natural feeling to the cabin. It really does blend in and become part of the woods.

There are a series of stairs and landings that wind through the woods and trees that take you to the Treehouse cabin.
(There are a total of 26 steps down into the woods). As you begin to descend the stairs, the cabin comes into view.

“Best customer service ever!”
5 of 5 stars

I have never rented a cabin. I chose this one based on the reviews and it was a dream come true. Lise called me early to see if we wanted to come on up. She remembered this was my husband and I first vacation with no children. They made sure that the cabin was beautiful and romantic. She even recommended things for us to do it the next town we were visiting. Above and beyond every step of the way. I hit a home run my first time at bat and there will be no other place for us!!

“Rest and Relaxation ”
5 of 5 stars

This was our 2nd visit to Stonecreek Cabins and this time we stayed at the Treehouse. We spent 5 nights beginning Oct 19th and had a perfect vacation filled with rest and relaxation. This is a quaint and cozy cabin perfect size for 2 people. We spent lots of time on the deck either in the hot tub or just sitting and enjoying the beautiful sunshine and nature. The bed is very comfortable and a perfect nest, could sleep away the day. Brought in our food and enjoyed cooking out on the grill.

We only left 1 day and spent it in the beautiful National Park. Fall colors were gorgeous and lots of wild life. Took a picnic lunch and enjoyed the day.

Would recommend Stonecreek cabins to anyone looking to go to the Gatlinburg area. Can't wait to return.

“Relaxing adventures”
5 of 5 stars

My husband and I stayed in Treehouse 3 nights and loved it! The cabin has everything you could want and more. Lovely bottle of prosecco chilling and a cake in the frig to celebrate our Anniversary. Wow! Also popcorn, s'mores fixins and more. Spotlessly clean with ample space to relax. We enjoyed the hot tub and deck as well as the screened in porch. Music, TV and lots of movies to choose from. Great location away from the downtown area but easily accessible to the area's recreational offerings. Thanks!

“Heavenly Vacation Spot”
5 of 5 stars

We've stayed at the "TreeHouse Cabin" 3 times in the past 5/6yrs. The cabin is beautiful located in a secluded woodland. Attention to detail is their Forte. The owners give you complete privacy but are available if needed. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
Looking forward to trying out the Creekside Cabin next. Lots of places to rent in the Smoky's but if you truly want an amazing vacation this is the place to go. It's close enough to the Smoky Mountains to hike, Gatlinburg to shop, the Arts and Crafts community to enjoy the many talented artist creations of course you can just stay there at the cabin because it has everything to entertain you. We hate to leave but dream about the next time we can visit. THANK YOU Sue and Lise!!!

“Treehouse Cabin - complete peace”
5 of 5 stars
My husband and I stayed in the Treehouse cabin for three nights for his birthday and our 36th wedding anniversary. I cannot begin to describe the attention to every little detail that the owners put into making this cabin a peaceful and accommodating retreat, but I will try to list some:
wine on table & jazz playing on arrival
chocolates, s'mores & nuts set out
Happy Birthday cake in refrigerator
Temperapedic-like king size bed
full size front loading washer/dryer
small but stocked kitchen (dishes, utensils, pots/pans, blender, coffee maker, toaster, wine glasses, paper towels, napkins, skillets, knives, microwave, stove ... on and on and on)
Dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper towels, towels, washcloths, salt/pepper, a few seasoning spices, coffee grounds/filters ... on and on)
chairs rock on screened in porch which includes an oscillating fan, checkerboard, candle
cabin impeccably clean, including the hot tub
Biltmore linens on bed. Comfortable pillows.
dozens and dozens of DVD movies, magazines, a few novels
Direct TV with premium channel, although we didn't watch much TV
Log book where guests have reviewed local restaurants and hiking paths.
The owners cabin is near the parking spot for this cabin, but in four days I never saw them.
We were able to use the cabin, screened in porch and hot tub 'au naturale' with no thoughts to lack of privacy.
About 15 minute drive to Dollywood.
Just lovely. We will return in a few months. This cabin is in Sevierville and is for a couple who wishes to decompress and/or spend time together. We didn't venture out much.
(Be prepared to leave the premises as nice as you found it. There is a checklist of things to do before you leave, but nothing unreasonable.)
Room Tip: Short walk with stairs from parking spot to cabin, so not for mobility impaired guests.

A quiet cabin getaway”
4 of 5 stars

We spent 5 nights in the Treehouse Cabin. It was quite nice. We arrived to the cabin right after the 4pm check in time. There was a bottle of wine and jazz music waiting for us. I had told Lise that we would be celebrating my husband's birthday while we were there. They decorated the cabin for us and left a small cake as well.

The cabin is very cozy. The bed was beyond comfortable and so were the pillows. The bed is in a small alcove, for lack of a better word, and you crawl right into it. The kitchen is fully functional, but very small. It is stocked with dishes and pots, pans, measuring spoons, etc. They even have a blender. The booth is right next to a window, which was nice in the morning. There is a screened porch and also an open deck with a built in bar, and a hot tub and charcoal grill. We spent a lot of time outside taking in the fresh mountain air.

The location is close to everything you would want to do in the area. The cabin was easy to find. We did print out the directions provided, but our GPS took us the same way so we didn't have any issues with that. The cabin was very clean, save for some glasses that were probably only run through the dishwasher. We cleaned them and all was fine. The only other issue we had, and I wouldn't call this a negative, was there is not a lot of room to store your belongings. We each had a suitcase, and our pet's supplies. So we had those sitting around the living area. Again, I don't count this as a negative just something to make note of.

We had a very enjoyable experience. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for.

“Exactly what we needed!”
5 of 5 stars

It might sound crazy, but it feels like I was led to Stonecreek when I was looking for a place to stay while my girlfriend and I hit "the pause button" on our busy lives and celebrated her birthday. From my first interaction with Lise until we had to, sadly, say goodbye, I was their biggest fan (even though I think I have some stiff competition for that title!)

Our trip was very last minute and because of that, Lise called me immediately after I sent an initial inquiring email. She wanted to make sure we were able to talk about the details as soon as possible because of the timing and also because she knew it was a surprise for the birthday girl!

Personable doesn't even begin to describe Lise. Like I've read in so many of the reviews, I felt like we were instant friends! What a rare and special gift! She is definitely in the right field...hospitality seems to run through her veins. Even the rental agreement isn't like the standard ones you would find from the "big box" rental companies. They truly want to know who their guests are, the reason (if any) for your visit, and your likes & dislikes so they know how to personalize your arrival. It's almost unheard of to have that kind of individualized care in this crazy world and it was an absolute breath of fresh air!

I want to take a second and acknowledge the other "2/3rds" of this great team! As Lise has said in her responses to some of the reviews, she doesn't act alone. It takes 3 of them to give us such an amazing experience. The housekeeper who does an absolutely immaculate job...hmmm, I wonder if she would travel to Nashville and clean our home! And then there's Sue! While I've never talked directly with her, I did hear her voice during some of my phone conversations with Lise~she does exist! Ha! What an extraordinary group these 3 are - each with their own talents, gifts and contributions to making Stonecreek cabins the best place to get away in the Smokies!

We were lucky enough to stay in their Treehouse cabin - quaint, comfortable, romantic, cozy, dreamy, charming -- like being in a fairy-tale! No matter where you looked, or which window you were gazing out of, the view was picturesque! And whether sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning just taking it all in or relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine in the evening, the tranquility that you feel just from hearing the creek down below is unrivaled.

We took a few walks along their property and continued to be in awe. It is such a stunningly beautiful, unaffected part of our world and such a refreshing break from our concrete city life where it seems that if there is any patch of green or a single tree standing, some developer wants to build something on it - just like Joni Mitchell wrote, "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot". Even though these two incredible women have built cabins for our enjoyment on their property, they have taken special care to disturb as little nature as possible - and incorporated much of the landscape into their designs as well. You truly feel you are a part of the scenery instead of looking out upon it. Thank you Lise and Sue for saving a part of paradise and not putting up "a pink hotel and boutique and a swingin' hot spot"!

Dear Lise and Staff,
Thank you so very much for the wonderful stay! Your thoughtful touches such as cake and Champagne to celebrate our 20 year anniversary were sweet surprises!
Our first visit to TN was by far the most memorable. We hiked daily, cooked, relaxed and enjoyed the coziness and intimacy of the Treehouse cabin.Everything we needed was there.
This was by far the most delightful surprise. The Treehouse is a perfect get away for any person or couple needing to relax and re-connect with the added beauty of the Smoky Mountains!
With heartfelt appreciation,Brenda and Gary.

“Made an old married couple feel like kids again!”
5 of 5 stars

My husband and I just spent our 10 year Anniversary at the Stonecreek Cabin Treehouse. The property is beautiful and everything you need is in the cabin, including a few of the nicest surprises you could imagine (I won't spoil them by telling you). Lise was amazing and provided everything from directions to the cabin to recommendations of places to go running. The cabin had a lovely deck, barbecue, hot tub, fireplace, great sound system and TVs and the most amazing nest of a bed. We can't wait to go back!!!
Tip: For couples- The Treehouse!

“Wonderful getaway for recent empty nesters!”
5 of 5 stars

Kids are grown and we're traveling alone. We stayed at the Treehouse cabin and it was absolutely beautiful. We were up at dawn for coffee on the deck, then breakfast in the quaint kitchenette (everything you need to prepare full meals at the cabin). Our days were mostly spent exploring the Smokey Mountains. What a fabulous area. Usually home before dark to enjoy the hot tub and relieve our aching muscles. A few cocktails before dinner didn't hurt either! We visited in the early fall and had fantastic weather, so we cooked all of our dinners on the grill provided on the deck, though there is a stove and microwave ind the cabin. The cabin itself is near the main house, but literally down the side of the mountain and accessed by a short walk from the driveway down a wooden walkway. It is completely secluded and private. We had an issue with the shower head the first day, and a simple call to Lise and it was taken care of while we were on our daily hike. They do everything they can to insure your privacy, but if you chance to run into them at the gate as we did, say hello for us - and be sure to ask Lise about her home brew. (Sorry Lise, can't remember the names but they were delicious - thank you!). We will definitely be back one day.

Better than a Dream”
5 of 5 stars

Lise runs the absolute-best getaway in all the Smokey Mountains. As we pulled in the Treehouse Cabin's driveway, we were surrounded by tall bamboo, gently lit with LED lights. The cabin itself was picture-perfect, inside and out. Lise has provided nearly every luxury and commodity... Right down to laundry soap, lovely welcome gifts, DVD library, and many kitchen accessories. Best of all was the complete seclusion, as we could sleep all day... And never worry about having any visitors, apart from mountain wildlife. Definitely go again, and absolutely ZERO complaints.

“Wooded paradise”
5 of 5 stars

We recently stayed at this location and never wanted to leave! We stayed in the Treehouse Cabin with a over-sized deck. The cabin was immaculately clean and very cozy. When we arrived, there was a chilled bottle of sparkling cider and the electric fire place was crackling way. We found the cabin to be a home away from home. We spent most of our time on the deck, surrounded by trees, listening to the babbling creek, bull frogs croaking, and eventually tree frogs peeping. There was a hot tub for us to use...however we didn't take advantage of it. There was a full kitchen and charcoal grill available to use, even a washer and dryer if needed. The cabin was about a 15 minute drive to the town of Gatlinburg and an additional 5 minutes to the Great Smoky Mountains. There are plenty of restaurants in town and you must do the Artist's Loop for locally made items.

When you enter the cabin, you are close to ground level, but because it was built on the hillside, above the small creek below you will be up in the trees when you reach the back deck, hence the name the Treehouse..

Soft music is playing, chocolates placed on your pillow and a welcome refreshment of a complimentary bottle of wine or non-alcoholic sparkling cider on ice await your arrival in this romantic honeymoon setting. Virtually every light in the cabin can be dimmed to create a wonderfully romantic setting.
Inside of this small, but very well equipped cabin, you will find some unique features, including a Scandinavian built-in king size bed.People that have stayed in the cabin describe this romantic enclosure as a "nest". The bed is completely surrounded by 3 walls and access is gained by walking through a tiled alcove, then simply crawling into this very cozy king sized bed. There is a window with a beautiful view of the forest and a 200 year old stained glass window from England in this romantic area and individually controlled lights on each side of the bed.
