Housekeeping: We pride ourselves on our extra clean cabins and our guests generally leave the cabins in great shape upon their departure, but there have been a few exceptions resulting in this cabin cleaning description below. We take a great deal of time personally readying the cabin for your arrival and we do not charge a cleaning fee as other cabin companies do. We place a $150.00 hold on your credit card before your arrival for any excessive cleaning /damage/loss that may occur during your stay. On your departure day, we do expect that you leave the cabin in the same clean condition that it was in upon your arrival. You must also call us from the cabin BEFORE you leave on your day of departure so that we can tell you what temperature to leave the cabin and whether or not to leave water dripping in winter at Creekside and Treehouse.
CANCELLATIONS Power Failure/Weather/Early Departure: If you are without power for more than 24 hours, and would like to leave we will help you to find other accommodations or give you a credit for a future stay. We do not give refunds for bad weather, or for early departure for any reason. We will try to notify you of an upcoming snow or ice storm in our area that may impact your arrival. Four wheel drive and /or chains are always recommended in our area in winter.
Cancellations by renter: Having just 3 cabins for rent, cancellations affect us more significantly than the large cabin rental companies in the area. When a guest makes a reservation for a stay at one of our 3 cabins, we agree to turn away all other requests for the cabin for the dates that you select and we lose all other potential bookings for that time. If you cancel, it makes it that much more difficult to find someone to take your place. When you book a reservation, you agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you have reserved.
Trip Insurance is highly recommended and you can find many affordable options on the internet that will suit your needs in case an emergency arises and you need to cancel. http://www.insuremytrip.com/ is a possible place to start. Please be sure you understand our cancellation policies
If you need to cancel, the CANCELLATION POLICY is as follows: You will need to contact us in writing via email to cancel your reservation. We will do our best to re-book your dates for you. If you choose to have us try to re-book, we will contact you when or if we are successful and let you know the progress. We reserve the right to take a reservation that may be shorter than your original booking, but will do our best to reserve as many of your days as possible.
If we are able to re-book a portion or your entire reservation, you will receive a credit for what we collect from re-booking your dates. You may then reschedule your reservation to another time within 1 year of your original dates (one time change only) towards a future reservation of the same length or longer. Choose one of our 3 cabins of equal or lesser value. There are no refunds for differences in pricing if you choose to stay in a lower priced cabin. You will be charged for cabin upgrades or for Holiday/ Peak periods. $100.00 re-booking fee will be deducted from the balance and will need to submit a new rental agreement. If we are unable to re-book any of your time, you will forfeit all money paid to date on your cabin rental.
Please consider sending a friend or relative in your place. A new rental agreement and $100.00 fee will be added to the card we have on file for transferring the canceled reservation.
